2008 Foals Have All Arrived//Summer Sale
We are excited to welcome 5 healthy foals - 4 solid black colts (how will I tell them all apart?) and 1 black filly. My son should be posting foals pics soon and all will be offered for sale except the filly, who is by an outside stallion, Trailhead Tucson.
Since we have had a bumper crop of colts the past couple years, the '07 and '08 colts will be offered at a special price of $1,000 for a limited time.
Exempt from this sale is one '08 colt - Kells Standing Ovation r.a.f., who is from a golden cross we have made many times - Spring Hills K C L on Kells Moonlight Serenade. This colt is going to be big and he's definitely stallion quality.
We will also be offering a $500 discount for any other horse on our sales list.
Abby will be returning shortly from 2 months of harness training and she is driving well. Rocky will be coming off the sales list since he has been sold to Cathy Rose of Montrose, MN. Congratulations Cathy!. Rocky is just com- pleting 2 months of harness training and Cathy will enjoy driving him.
We are haltering and leading the foals. Our youngest colt, Lucky, was born with a crooked front leg and he and his dam will be headed to the University of MN this week for surgery. Hopefully. Lucky should be good as new. We named him "Lucky" as he is a lucky boy to be getting surgery since it often is costly. We are fortunate to get a discount since these type of surgeries are used as teaching tools with students observing.
We only bred 2 of our own mares this year for '09 foals - Kells Midnight Serenade will be having a foal by RC Black Tie Affair, and Kells Beloved Brianna was A.I.ed to Amazing Kite from PA. We bred 4 outside mares and will look forward to those '09 foals also.
