Kells Accent On Xcellence (Kells Above R Xpectations x Blue Knolls Delphia) June 2010 Update on Axel (now known as Onyx): Onyx was purchased by Lindsey Kahn in fall of 2009 as a 2 year old unbroke gelding. She has started him under saddle and gotten him used to all kinds of new experiences - shoes, baths, rivers, beer and smoothies (lucky boy). Onyx just experience his first trip to Forestville State Park for some trailriding and performed like a trooper. Lindsey has future plans to do some jumping with Onyx. Continued luck with Onyx and thanks for the updates Lindsey. 2011 Update: In an April e-mail from Lindsey, who is currently living in Lexington, KY - "I'm just so excited that I have you give you another quick update on my wonderful wonderful horse: We had our first hunter-jumper schooling show, and he was amazing! We got first place for clear round AND speed in Beginning Horse Cross-Rails (18 inches) and probably could have placed in Beginning Jumper (2 feet), except the timer went on the fritz during my timed jump-off and I didn't get a time... the judges asked me if I wanted to go again, but Onyx was so good (and so tired!) that I decided to stop on that positive note and take home the one blue. :) I'm so proud of him - he was perfectly calm and responsive the entire time, even in a new place with all sorts of strange horses and activity. And before today, the most jumps we'd done in a row was 3... today, each course had 9 jumps! I couldn't be happier with him... I think he really likes jumping, too."
